"After hitting a plateau in my training I started having personal training with Joel. Since then I’ve been hitting PBs and noticed a real improvement in my performance.

Every workout is different and he’s a font of knowledge with all things exercise. His gym is well equipped and has a lot of equipment I had never used before. If you’re looking for a great PT I would highly recommend Joel!"

"My wife and I have been clients of Joel's for nearly two years now. He is an excellent personal trainer and is extremely reliable. I have a problem with my lower back and so I have had regular sports massages. The combination of doing the regular personal training and the massages with Joel have enabled me to be pain free in my lower back for the last two years. Great guy, great service. "Joel has been my PT for 2 years and I would highly recommend him!
I train with Joel once a week and no two sessions are the same.

They are well planned and tailored to get the best results.

I thoroughly enjoy my sessions and sometimes put in my own requests as to what I would like to do the following weeks, (Bootcamp/Circuits are my favourite sessions).

Joel pushes me to achieve my best, even when I doubt my own abilities.
Joel & Chelsea offer a wide variety of workouts/stretches/mobility exercises on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram for all abilities, I would highly recommend watching these!

"Joel comes to my house on a regular basis to help me recover from a serious shoulder operation.
I found him very good at listening and assessing the situation.
We started purely with massages on my injured area to release tensions, act on trigger points and activate blood circulation. We progressively introduced physio exercises to increase my mobility and we now are working on adding some strength into them.
I find Joel easy to get on with, he makes you feel comfortable and he is encouraging.
I find that the work we do is accessible and progressive. I can go on working on the exercises for the rest of the week and I find great relief from the massages.
Joel is very polite and punctual, he is also flexible in the way that we can work on a mixture of physio and massages.

Tailors the workout to get best results for you personally.

Always willing and happy to discuss ‘focussed’ workouts ( in my case - the core!) definitely achieves results.

I’ve also had sports massages with Joel, again very professional and aware of your requirements if there’s a particular area where perhaps injuries have occurred.

“For me, a good personal trainer is one who listens to my goals and devises a suitable regime.

Joel has been very responsive in this regard. I particularly appreciate the mix of exercises that he plans.

It’s great to turn up each time, not knowing what challenges I might face that session - it would be really boring to follow the same routine, week in, week out.

Sometimes, feeling lazy, I wish that I didn’t have a lesson, but I’m always glad afterwards that I made the effort, thanks to Joel’s encouragement.
I also think that Joel’s degree in Sports Science is immensely important as it gives him a much deeper understanding of every aspect of human fitness, be it physical, mental or nutritional - knowledge that he is happy to share."

I haven’t experienced any tightness at all in my calves since.

I do various types of exercise so I will certainly be making a sports massage a regular thing.

All my training sessions are provided on an app, which I find really useful when working out on my own.
